I have been fascinated with reptiles my whole life. I was raised in an area where I was surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods, streams, farms and fields. I had little else to do in the summertime but roam the woods turning up anything I could find. I recall at the age of 4, when my dad had killed a snake that was under a rock that my brother was standing on, he had misidentified it. I went and got out an encyclopedia and showed him the snake. I was always happy to find snakes, lizards, frogs, salamanders or really any other wildlife I could stir up. It wasn't until I moved out on my own that I bought my first pet reptiles. Since this was pre internet, I was buying all of the books I could and studying up on the creatures that I loved. Soon, I was breeding lizards out of a two bedroom apartment that I was sharing with a roommate.

My passion has grown a lot over the years, as has my collection. While I have worked with many species of lizards, geckos and snakes over a period of about 20 years, I now specialize in snakes, primarily boas and pythons. The snakes that I keep and breed are snakes that I took a personal interest in for some reason or other. Some are proven morphs, while still others were purchased with the hopes of proving something out. Because I do not depend on this for a living, I am able to be patient and pick out the snakes that I feel possess the colors and patterns that I feel will enhance any projects that I am working on. Anyone who has purchased any of my hog island boas can attest, that there are few that  possess as intense color as the ones that I have been producing over the years.
